"I am a Marathoner." At 45!
How sweet that is to declare to a fellow runner. Not a middle distance runner anymore - a true blue Marathoner. No less than my TBR finisher's medal attests to that.
And so I am back to bloggin in running!
I turned my back, sorta, on this blog to devote my time to fulfilling the dream of running the 42.
And now its no longer a dream. It is now a reality, and for 583 other brave souls, who had their feet do the "talkin" for the first or second time in their lives.
4:23:28! That's freakin' fast for me, and beyond my expectations.
I have to thank Jaymie and Jim, the founders of TBR Dream Marathon, for making it reality. I only attended 3 sessions but the important one that mattered most was the first when what I heard from the TBR team compelled me to make the strategic change of running the whole marathon to run-walking it. Had I had the benefit of being completely free of other responsibilities during my training, I would have "probably" run the whole course.
So, here I am, savoring the sweet reality of being a marathoner.
My family has given me this whole week to rest on my laurels without them being bugged about it.
Regardless, the reality will stick : MARATHONER!
Can Milo be far behind??? I AM WAY over myself! But let me dream :-)
